Heavy Snow Expected; Margaret Thatcher Dead

Boulder has partly cloudy skies this morning and the local raven family is fussing loudly at Nedi, who thinks he can easily "sneak up" on them. They'll chase him back inside in a few minutes. The weather folks say we'll reach the lower 60s today, but the winds will be kicking up this afternoon. We'll get increasingly cloudy, then have rain in the evening, changing to thunder snow late tonight. They say we'll get between 12 and 18 inches of snow through Wednesday morning, at this time.
Margaret Thatcher, the Iron Lady of Great Britain, the first female Prime Minister, has passed away at the age of 87, after having a stroke. The British government has announced that Mrs. Thatcher will receive a state funeral. .... Flashback, the grey colt who finished second in the Santa Anita Derby (and earned a berth in the Triple Crown races), was found to have a bone chip in his knee yesterday. He's off the list of Triple Crown runners, and will have knee surgery at Rood and Riddle in Kentucky.
Not much else going on at this time. I'm still at Maggie May's, and I hope to be able to come home to my kits tomorrow, but am not sure because of the snow. I'll be certain to make sure there's a double supply of their usual food and water available, just in case. And I stocked up last night on their goodies, just to be on the safe side....
