Places to Snack, Graze and Carry-Out on Chincoteague

You might have noticed that the venerable Chincoteague Inn was not mentioned in today's earlier listing of restaurants.  The Chincoteague Inn was demolished early this past winter; I have been informed that a new restaurant, called The Skipjack, will be opening this month, almost on the exact footprint of the Inn.  My parents dated in the Lollipop, a former incarnation of the Inn, in the 1940s.  The old place, with plenty of character, will be missed....

First, places to buy fresh seafood, to take home and cook:
Gary Howard Seafood

Ricky's Seafood & Produce Market

Tom's Cove Aquafarm - oysters and hard clams

Snacks, sandwiches, ice cream, bakeries, coffee, candy, etc......
Fresh local produce from Church Street Produce

Sugarbakers - bakery

Island Creamery

Sea Star Cafe Gourmet Carry-Out

J & B Coldcuts and Subs

Poseidon's Pantry

Main Street Shop Coffeehouse

Pony Tails - salt water taffy and fudge

Mister Whippy

Muller's Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor

I also heard that a second bakery has opened on Chincoteague, but I don't know its' name.
