Saturday Pixels
The Assateague Lighthouse - up until the mid-1960s, the lighthouse was a faded red brick color (like the Currituck Lighthouse) - I still have to blink and realize how long ago the US Coast Guard painted the stripes... that summer I was sure that the lighthouse had been "ruined forever!"
June 2009 - One of Donald Leonard's Chincoteague foals at The Refuge Inn - this fellow will be a nice grulla (a mousy grey) with four white high stockings.
Ponies in the salt marsh near the Assateague National Seashore causeway and bridge in Maryland.
What 'Teaguers call a "party boat" - a pontoon boat built for fishing, touring, and partying - tied up just north of The Chincoteague Inn
