Late yesterday evening, I found a British news site that says the DNA test results, on the skeleton thought to be King Richard III, will be released at a news conference on Monday, the fourth. Hip, hip, hooray! I am still firmly convinced that the man has been reviled by the Tudor historians - made into a monster by them and not by true historical facts. I admit that Sir Laurence Olivier was a wonderfully evil and twisted Richard III - but you must remember that play was written while the Tudors were ruling, and Shakespeare could only publish and write the stories told him...
Two miniature horse escapees caused a traffic accident on I-10 in Oklahoma City yesterday. They managed to escape from their pasture, run across the Interstate highway, and then lead people on a merry chase through the suburbs. On the Interstate, a white pickup swerved to avoid hitting the minis, and struck a power pole. The escapees, a mare and her foal, were eventually caught, unharmed, and returned to their pasture. The foal was captured first, while the mare avoided capture for another hour or so. People were chasing the pair on foot, in cars and trucks, and had the help of the Sheriff's department, the city police, and local animal rescue groups. The owners will be charged with having livestock at large.

Hunting and trapping of wolverines, also called "mountain devils," would be illegal in every state except Alaska, which has a burgeoning population of the creatures. With higher temperatures and less snow, the wolverines' habitat is shrinking at a phenomenal rate...
Punxsutawney Phil, the illustrious ground hog of Pennsylvania, did not see his shadow this morning, which (supposedly) means he predicts an early Spring. If he sees his shadow, it (supposedly) means there are six more weeks of Winter coming. If you look at a calendar, you'll see that the Spring Equinox is six weeks away... Reportedly, Phil is correct 80% of the time. Let's see if he's correct this year.
