First Boulder County Wildfire of 2014

Yesterday was our first really warm day this year.  The temperature reached 83 degrees, humidity was at 17 %, and the wind was blowing constantly at 15 to 30 mph.  So, naturally, Boulder County had its first wildfire of the 2014 season.  Where?  Near the base of Peewink Mountain, near Nederland, between Sugarloaf Road and US Forest Service Road 332.  No structures are threatened, and, at the moment, the fire is contained, though it has burned four acres.  Firefighters are seeking the source of the fire, and are monitoring the edges.

There was also the controlled burn in Oklahoma that got out of control, along with the big wildfire in California...  And Colorado is going to perform a "controlled burn" of 443 acres today....   Sheesh!
My kits are sacked out, at the moment.  Last night was the first time this year I've left the patio window open, and the kits were constantly checking to see what was happening outside.  I know the raccoon family visited the patio, because the mother growled at Lovey and Lovey growled back. And, yesterday afternoon, Bob - good, old, laid-back Bob - attacked Lovey as she was coming in the door.  He removed several chunks of her fur, but she urinated all over him.  Pay back.
