Thursday a Bang-Up Day in Denver...

And I mean "bang-up day" literally.  Yesterday afternoon, a few minutes after 3 o'clock, a house in Thornton (a metropolitan area of Denver) exploded in a fireball - raining debris over a one block area.  Last night, at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, after a rap concert featuring three headliners, someone opened fire on a white SUV as it was leaving the parking lot, and three people inside were shot.  The driver managed to continue driving the car away from Red Rocks, and called 911 from his mobile when he pulled over to the side of the road.
One person is still missing from the house explosion, and a cadaver dog reportedly "alerted" last night while going through the wreckage of the home.  Police will begin searching for the missing person again this morning.  The family dog was blown thrown the air and landed in a yard several houses away.  The dog was singed, bruised, and had an apparent concussion; he was being treated at a local veterinarian.  The blast was so huge that it blew the windows and doors out of surrounding homes; the home beside the exploding house had all the siding and insulation blown off on the nearest side to the explosion.  The cause of the blast is being investigated.
Police are still searching for the unknown shooter from the Red Rocks incident, which happened at 10:30 last night.  And a man has escaped police custody, in Denver, even though he is/was wearing handcuffs and leg shackles.  Plus, one of the most highly honored sheriffs in Colorado was just sentenced (yesterday) to 15 months in prison, after he has repeatedly broken his parole agreement, and has tested positive for meth 3 times in the last month.  This man was arrested, originally, for trading meth for sex with young men.... Yuck.
