More shootings in Ferguson, Missouri.  Two police officers were shot last night during a protest being held outside of police headquarters in that suburb of St. Louis.  It's dreadful.  A damning report about the department brought the resignation of the police chief yesterday afternoon.  During the protest, two police officers were shot - one in the shoulder, and one in the face.  Both are in serious condition at a local hospital.  I feel as if I've been pulled into a time vortex and am now living in the past with Jim Crow laws in effect and trigger-happy folks on the prowl.  We need to stop this madness in the United States, and around the world.
