Thank goodness the US Constitution protects the right of free speech! Donald John Trump, a racist, misogynistic, hate-filled war-monger has been elected, apparently, to be the next President of the United States of America. According to voting tallies, Trump has 278 electoral college votes, while Clinton has 218. A candidate must have 270 electoral college votes to win.
The "Sugar tax" in the city of Boulder has been approved - an additional cost of 2 cents per ounce for any "sugary" beverage - except for alcoholic ones, of course.
I just want to curl up in my bed, pull the covers over my head, and wake up again to discover that the above writing was just a nightmare - but I don't think it is, or was. Sigh.
(Then, again, if Trump is found guilty for his part in his trial in November regarding Trump University, and/or found guilty of sexually assaulting an underage female in his trial in December - maybe we won't have him as President.... I still can't believe that a man with 75 pending trials and lawsuits has been elected to the most powerful office in our country.)
