The jury in the trial of Sam Carter heard closing arguments this morning, and received their instructions from the judge in the case at 11:30. The jury returned to the courtroom with their verdict about 3 this afternoon. Sam Carter, ex-Boulder police officer, was found guilty on all nine counts - four felonies and five misdemeanors. Sentencing will occur on 29 August. Carter faces up to 6 years in prison, plus multiple fines. - I'd much rather have Big Boy, also known as Edward the Elk, here, alive, and passing his genes on to another generation of elk.
Hooray for the jury!
