Trip Plans Changed Radically

My sister had her chemotherapy port placed in her chest this morning.  And I received an e-mail from the artists whose house and critters I'm caring for.  The artists were to spend eight full days in Guatemala and return on 26 December.  There return date is now in question, as the man's appendix ruptured while they were in Guatemala, and they are now at a hospital in Antigua.  I'm just hoping and praying that Jim makes a quick recovery, and that he doesn't develop an infection.  I've given the cats and chickens extra love and attention today, although I'm sure they don't understand why...
