Haikal Now Doubtful as Kentucky Derby Entry

The bay son of Daaher, out of the Distorted Humor mare Sablah, and Gotham Stakes winner Haikal is now doubtful to run in Saturday's Run for the Roses.  He was slightly off-stride yesterday morning, and today he did not work on the track due to an abscess in his near fore.  His foot is being soaked in Epsom salts and warm water, but if he can't get a training run in before 8 a.m. tomorrow (Friday) morning, he will be scratched, said his trainer.  Haikal's trainer is Kiaran McLaughlin, and chosen jockey is Rajiv Maragh.  He drew post 11 for the race and his morning line odds were set at 30 to 1.
