Groundhogs

Groundhogs are also known as woodchucks,whistle-pigs,whistling pigs, and land beavers.  They have underground burrows -a tunnel into soft earth, or under a tree, or along a creek or river bank.  When we lived in Crows, the woodchucks burrowed into the creek bank, and they were frequent foragers in our garden and flower beds....
