As usual, the big forecasts for Boulder snow were exaggerated. The temperature got up into the mid-60s (F) yesterday, and not 52, as forecast. The storm took it's time coming over the continental divide, and didn't arrive until nearly midnight. We had a half-inch of rain fall before it became cold enough for snow - which fell in the amount of 1.7 inches. With the recent warmth, the roads are wet and slushy, as are sidewalks. No big deal. Sitting here at my desk, looking west, I can even see blue sky over the top of Mount Sanitas. There is some snow on the ground, but it looks rather sickly, as it fell upon an accumulation of leaves. A few pines have snow on their branches, and the top of the telephone pole outside has about a half-inch of snow crowning it. And it was already at freezing (32 degrees) at 6:30 this morning. It's just messy.
