Attacker of Puppy Gets Probation

Do you remember Diamond?  She ended up at the Emergency Vet in Denver after her owner had stabbed her in the face with a knife, after making other cuts.  He claimed it was in self-defense - against his six-month-old puppy.....

The puppy was found wandering in her neighborhood on June 27; today her ex-owner was sentenced to 30 months of probation, 100 hours of public service, and he is unable to own a pet during his probation.  Due to the fact that he was an abused child, he is also getting mental health counseling.
Diamond, meanwhile, has been adopted into a new family, and she and they are out of state on vacation today.
