Beechers Brook is jumped twice; with the course itself dropping almost two feet upon landing. One feels like one is "jumping over the edge of the world" when descending...
The chair is only jumped once in the two circuits of the 4.5 mile (total) course.

23-year-old jockey Ryan Mania was air-lifted today from the racecourse at Hexham and taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. Mania was riding the favorite, Stagecoach Jasper, when the horse fell at the fourth flight. Mania was thrown, and then another horse kicked him between the shoulder blades. He's had several scans and X-rays, and has tweeted from hospital that he's "great" and plans on going home tomorrow.
