Accomack Arsonists Apprehended

Since 12 November 2012, there have been 77 acts of arson committed in Accomack County, Virginia.  Just before midnight on 1 April, a fire was started near Melfa - the Volunteer Fire Department had a quick response time, and a woman was noted leaving the scene.  She was stopped by police just after midnight and arrested.  Forty-year-old Tonya Bundick was arraigned today and charged with arson and conspiracy to commit arson.  Her 38-year-old friend, Charles R.Smith III (also known as Charlie Applegate), was also arrested and charged.  Bundick has been appointed an attorney by the court.  Smith already has an attorney, and, according to his paperwork in applying for bail, he admitted setting multiple fires and has had 31 previous felony convictions.  Smith was also, at one time, a fire captain in the Tasley Volunteer Fire Company.  Please note that he has not been affiliated with any fire companies since October 2012.  Police and investigators believe that these two people are responsible for the majority of the Accomack arson fires.
It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Boulder, after a combination of rain and snow falling for about 12 hours yesterday.  It's 55 degrees outside, kids are playing sports over on the fields at Centennial Middle School, and the birds and squirrels are very noticeable.  Maggie May is sunning on her patio.  This morning, Lovey and Nedi enjoyed the sun on our patio - then curled up and took a nap with me, as I had medicated myself due to a migraine headache.  Feeling much better now.
